Leadership

Al Weeks

Associational Mission Strategist

It is a privilege to serve the churches of the Northern Kentucky Baptist Association. I believe deeply in the local church and in what can happen when churches choose to walk together for the sake of the Kingdom.
Our churches are wonderfully different. We serve different communities, worship in different settings, and each congregation has been given its own unique opportunities and challenges. Yet we share the same Gospel, serve the same Lord, and have been entrusted with the same Great Commission.
That is the strength of our association.
My hope for the NKBA is that our churches will be more than just neighbors. I want us to be a family of churches that prays, learns, and shares together. By encouraging leaders, strengthening congregations, and planting new churches, we can creatively work together to reach Northern Kentucky and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
There is a Kingdom synergy that happens when churches work together. What may be difficult for one congregation alone becomes possible when we bring our gifts, experiences, people, and resources to the same table. We are not competing churches. We are partners in the Gospel.
As your Associational Mission Strategist, I want to listen well, encourage faithfully, connect people and churches, and help create opportunities for ministry that are larger than any one of us. I believe some of the greatest days of ministry in Northern Kentucky are still ahead of us.
We can do more together than we can ever do alone.
So, let’s build the Kingdom together, strengthen one another along the way, and above all, make much of Jesus.
